Since we're on the subject of loading coils, I wanted to pass along an
interesting practical study of coil loss due to corrosion:

I mention this because Hy Power uses insulated wire for their loading
coils. They claim that wire corrosion reduces efficiency, and they use
insulation to help help prevent it. If you believe W0QEs results,
insulation isn't necessary.
