A bit of advice ... as others noted the advertising can be a bit too vague
and sadly there is indeed some real trash out there in the marketplace.
When you see the word "stainless" don't stop there. That may mean only
the band is stainless ... the housing and/or screw may be something else.
Regardless of the brand of clamp ... look for "All 300 SS" or "All 316 SS",
in many cases you will find that stamped on the clamp housing or band.
"All stainless" per SAE J1508 can include 410 SS, which is SS, but a low
grade of such and not suggested for in-ground or high moisture settings.
The smaller "Type M" clamps use a 1/4" hex head and are not as robust
as the larger Type F designs. The "M" uses a 5/16" bandwidth.
Type "M" designs are for mainly light duty very small hose sizes and thus
do not have a very high install torque rating compared to other designs.
If possible, use at least the "Type F" clamps (these use a 5/16" hex head)
that have a higher torque rating, meaning not as easy to strip out from being
over-tightened, the bandwidth of these typically tends to be 1/2" or 9/16".
As Doug, KQ2M noted, using more than one clamp and rotating t he clamp
housings 180 degrees from each one may also help.
Please keep in mind, "hose clamps" were NOT designed primarily for the
type of antenna tubing/element applications being discussed here. B-)
No sense losing an element (or more) trying to save a few cents and not
doing this properly the first time ... labor, crane time, missed contests, etc.

Be careful as some MFG or vendors advertise stainless steel hose clamps
but they aren't 100% stainless steel. The screw of these is NOT
STAINLESS and becomes a rust ball. Trying to tighten one of these after
it rusts a bunch and the screw threads strip. Check to make sure you are
getting 100% all stainless steel, including the screw.
