I checked the MyAntennas choke with my VNWA and it measured very close
to as specified.

On advice from another of the frequent online gurus (that is, not K9YC),
I bought a MyAntennas choke balun to replace the fried line isolator of
my Carolina Windom. It's pretty, and its cylindrical form is less
conspicuous in that role than a BalunDesigns box. I do think we badly
need the ARRL or some impartial source to do a lab comparison of what's
out there, given the strong and conflicting opinions asserted on this
reflector and elsewhere. Too bad the ARRL's QST product reviews have
deteriorated so much.

I just looked at the 5KW choke balun on the MyAntennas site. I like
the fact that they show the choking impedance. Not so with most of
the other providers. I looked for the choking impedance data on the
DXE baluns and could not find it. I guess I could call them and find
out.
The last two choke baluns I installed, I made myself from Jim's
cookbook. I know what the choing impedance is and it cost much less
than buying one.............

Have you seen

baluns ?
Worth to visit.
This guy make them best in class, I guess are same level or higher
than DXE and Balun design.

Take another look at DX Engineering's baluns. Balun Designs are not
the balun of choice.
I haven't evaluated current production DXE chokes, but I did measure a
Balun Designs 1:1 unit that looking NOTHING like it's data sheet. It was
a lousy choke. It is unlikely to overheat, but it's also unlikely to do
anything useful except transfer dollars from the purchaser to the
seller. They're pretty, but that's all.
Unless you happen to have more money than time, I strongly recommend
building your own following the guidelines in the 2018 version of my
Cookbook. If Tim would send me stuff to measure, I would gladly do it.
