Tony - I did this for several years when I had a small city lot and
it worked quite well.  There is an article in QST, April 1986 I
believe, that tells how to do it and some sample dimensions.  If
you don't have it I think I still do.  Let me know & I can try to
find it for you.  One thing that helps in addition to just the linear
loading is to feed it with a 1/4 wave matching stub of 75 ohm coax
such as RG-11 - widens the bandwidth considerably.
