I have a Hy-Gain 52' steel crank-up tower. When the tower is cranked down, I
use the A frame shown in the Hy-Gain manual to tilt it over to work on my
beam. Dead weight is about 600 lbs.
Here's the question:
The A frame is constructed of 2 x 4 boards and is VERY heavy. Has anybody
made an A frame out of steel tubing or other materials that can be
dismantled for storage . . . . yet could handle the weight of the tower. The
overall size of the A frame is 20' high and 10' wide at the base.
Appreciate any and all suggestions.
