The question about short radials was answered in great detail in the most
recent issue of Cummunications Quarterly magazine. Dick Weber, K5IU has done
extensive research on this subject and reported the findings in an article in
the magazine. He has overwhelming evidence that 1/8 wavelength radials will
outperform 1/4 wavelength radials in all cases. The article explains all the
reasons why this is true and is MUST reading for anyone using vertical
