I'm putting in 4d anchors for my 110' Rohn 55 tower. I'm confused by Rohn's
rebar specification for anchor footings. From the drawing in the catalog, it
looks like they only require rebar for the top of the block and the side of
the block facing the tower (it says, "Reinforcing bars each way both
faces".) Minimum spacing is 12". It sounds like they're calling for an
L-shaped cage, but I can't quite picture how that would work. Would there be
three long pieces running the length of the block (6 feet), tied together
with 6 L-shaped pieces? Would I use square pieces at the ends to support the
cage?

Also, the drawing shows the rebar right at the surface of the block, but
specs for the foundation indicate a minimum distance of 3" from the surface.
Should I follow that spec fort the anchors?

Would appreciate some guidance from anyone who has done it (pictures would
be great).

Thanks & 73, Dick WC1M
