I don't have any comment on what to do about the guy bracket, but I was
intrigued by the photo showing a shackle between the guy grip and bracket
link. It was also interesting to see a bit of wire being used to prevent the
shackle bolt from moving. I would imagine the shackle was added to make it
easier to change/repair the guy at a later date without removing the guy
grip. But this is certainly not to Rohn spec. Is this a common or
recommended practice, or would TowerTalkians discourage it based on the LXC
rule?
