Hello Tommy, I recently dismantled a C31XR and found it easy. It really helps to have a drill press acessory to a hand drill, (or a real drill press) and a vee shaped cradle for the tubing, to accurately drill out the rivets. I used an 1/8" bit...Goes quick that way, and you make precsion holes. 73, DX, de Pat Barthelow AA6EG (831) 646-0388 aa6eg@hotmail.com From: <Berggrent@aol.com> To: <towertalk@contesting.com> Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2005 9:04 PM Subject: [TowerTalk] Force 12 Antenna Disassembly I am going to take a Force 12 antenna apart. To remove the rivets, do I just use an 1/8 inch drill bit or should I start with a smaller bit first? What helpful hints have you so that I don't screw up the aluminum holes or make it difficult for the next guy to put things together? Many thanks. 73 Tommy WE7K _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
