My 2000A has a power switch on the front of the amp, not on the back. It's a
master switch, and if it's off the remote is powered off, too.
The only time I turn off the master switch is if I'm going to be disconnecting
the 220V line plug from the wall socket.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Acom 2000A Power Switch
Something that has confused me since I started using this amp two months ago is
the fact that it has two power switches - one on the rear panel of the amp and
one on the remote control pod. The manual says that the power is off until
turned on via the on/off button on the remote pod. I assume this means that the
power switch on the rear panel of the amp is meant to be left on even for long
periods when the amp isn't being used. Is this in fact the case?
