Our club has been given a sectional mast system that appears to have been
DoD at one point. The sections are about 8ft in length, tapering, and made
of plywood. That is, multiple glued layers that create a thin walled and
light tube. Whole thing might be over 60ft in length and old style army
green. I'm reluctant to use this given it's age, but it's gotten me
curious.
I've googled a bit and can't seem to find any reference to these masts and
what they might of been originally used for. Anyone heard of these?
