Consider using a 500k resistor instead of a choke.  What either the resistor or 
a choke will do is 
prevent devices you have on the shack end of the line from seeing the static 
charge.  i.e.  your 
gas tube will not be firing as often, or (in the case of control lines) your 
MOVs won't be taking 
the hit and degrading like they do.  The 500k resistor in a 2-3 watt size can 
take the voltage 
seen on the line from a legal limit transmitter.  Works like a champ.  I have 6 
installed on my 
coax lines with gas tubes (a home made Polyphaser !) and a bunch more on the 
MOV-protected
control lines to the rotor.
