I mounted my Array Solutions balum to an aluminum plate and secured the
plate to the boom using a single u-bolt. I notched the plate near the
balun's drain holes to ensure that it does not fill up with water. I do not
see any issues mounting the balun enclosure to a metal plate.

What is good practice for mounting the standard transmission line balun
(DXE, Array Solutions, etc. PVC box with toroid balun inside)? Can they
be mounted directly to a metal plate? Is a standoff needed to minimize
coupling if the plate is aluminum? What distance?
