Finnigan's WAXOYL - Its a thick waxy fluid 'saturated with a rustkiller'
according to the manufacturer. Spray or brush it on. Doesn't crack or wash
off in the rain.

It is sold mainly for treating cars against salt corrosion.

I've used this stuff on various bolts and clamps on my tower and it does
exactly what it says on the tin.

Whether it would be an easy task to paint all parts of your tower with this
stuff is open to debate. (It would be very messy and not pretty and I
wouldn't like to climb the tower after treatment)

Sorry don't know if it is available in the USA. Only address I have is:

Hunting Lubricants and Specialised Products Ltd.
PO BOX 67
LEEDS
LS1 1LS
U.K.

[Finnigan's 'Hammerite' paint is another of their excellent products]
