Many good ideas here. If you are really worried, put up some fence panels
with the orange SMV triangles on it.
(On second thought, forget the fence panels, just put up a couple of fence
posts with the SMV triangles on them.)
As further insurance, get some 12" spikes, drive them through a 2x4 and bury it
with the spikes sticking up. Put up a sign "lawn is spiked". The company I
retired from did that in a traffic circle used by semi trucks (with sharpened
1" steel rod). The grass was in perfect condition!
