Seems to me that if the only thing needed in the air is a small light
beacon, why not just use one or more weather balloons? Tether it out early
in the evening and back down when that evenings festivities are over. One or
more (as needed) weather balloons and some helium plus a hundred feet or so
of two cond wire (or self contained battery beacon) and tether cord would
cost a lot less and be much safer than the tower. Contingent of course if
the beacon is small and low voltage and you aren't expecting a cyclone, but
if the cyclone happened there wouldn't be much in the way of festivities
anyway:) Tommy WD4K

Why don't you just get a trailer mounted crank-up? Then it would all be
SIMPLE.

If you want to use the 25G and temporary anchors, how about having a
local company deliver 3 or more of the Jersey Bounce concrete highway
barriers and use them? Lots of tower companies use them for temporary
anchors. The company comes back a couple of days later when you're done and
hauls them off.
