Like Joe, W2BHK, who started this thread, I had a
tennadyne T8 up. Unlike Joe, I didn't notice major
precip static...but also unlike Joe, I had a 26' R7000
vertical on the mast, mounted a few feet above the beam.
In fact, the problem was so minimal that I can't remember
hearing it at all.
Which brings me to the question:
Would a sharp pointed rod on the top of the tower, and
connected to it, mitigate the problem?
