I've also found it be a great 17 meter antenna. An excellent 12 meter
antenna. And a pretty good 6 meter antenna.

Subject: [Towertalk] Cushcraft 402CD
When I got back on the air about 15 years ago and was
checking into antennas, Jeff Steinman N5TJ (ex KR0Y) told me
something about antennas that goes down as one of those
absolutely PROFOUND statements.
"The Cushcraft 402CD is MAGIC".
I have one of them up at 90 feet at my home station and we
have three of them up at our contest station, (stack of 160' over
67') and another spotter antenna at 70 feet. The performance of
these antennas is incredible and has remained so for the many
years that they have been up.
This discussion of bad F/B ratios, loss of gain over the band,
etc etc is pure balogna........it still is true,
"The 402CD is MAGIC"
