I learned about this knot several years
ago (I think it was here on TT). I was
never much good with knots before, but
this knot is extremely easy to tie; you
virtually can't goof it up. It is now
the only knot I use (either the single
or double). I have never seen one of these
untie themselves; but on the other hand
I can usually get them untied when I
want to, even if high tension has been
applied.
