EVERY SINGLE AM radio station in America uses insulators to break-up guy
wires. Its not done to simply insulate the antenna from ground, that
could be done with one, single insulator on each guy. It IS done to
minimize guy wire interaction and to produce a clean pattern. If you
shunt-feed your tower, or have beams side-mounted down the tower, do
yourself a favor and break-up the guys.
