Lot's of traffic here on TT. I would like to make a few suggestions for
all of us to follow to keep the signal to noise ratio down a bit.
1. Before posting a question to the list, search the archives for your
answer. There is a search engine right on the home page at
http://www.contesting.com. Many questions can also be answered on the
TowerTalk FAQ and resource links within. The TT FAQ is at
http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.html. Thanks to N1LO for his
contribution in organizing past TT postings.
2. When you do make a post, it is very helpful to collect the responses
and post them to the list in a single message. Include something in your
message to the affect of "Please reply to me directly, I will compile the
answers and post to the list."
3. When replying to someone's post, pay attention to it's relevance to
the list at large. Many replys end up on the list that are obviously only
of interest to the original poster.
Thanks for all the great help you guys have given me and others on this
list. To me, you all are the single best resource of information in
amateur radio.
