Hi Rick!

It ssure ounds like you did not receive a copy of the installation
instructions with your big grip order!

The yellow paint marks indicate the location where you should begin the
first cross-over.  Specifically, if the grip is terminated in a 3/8" heavy
duty thimble, begin at the closest yellow mark.  If the grip is terminated
in an insulator, begin the first cross-ever at the second yellow mark.

Installation is much easier if you install the short leg first, followed
by the longer leg.  The legs are different lengths to ease installation.

The grit develops the holding power of the grip!  You can remove and
reinstall the grips only during the initial installation process.
After two weeks of use, discard the grip if you remove it.
