Most birds (not divers like loons) have oil in their feathers which
keeps them dry. If you have soapy water in the SUperSoaker and spray the
birds, it will dissolve the oil and the birds actually get so water
logged they can't fly. In fact, many will "terminate" either from
hypothernmia or even pneumonia. This tactic has been used on zillions of
starlings in the past with a lot of success. I personally would never
harm an animal ( rodents aren't animals, are they?). -pat
