Thanks, Yes, I'm just trying to get the TH6 set up the best I can for
what I need, for the time being.
Btw, I'm using a T-6 right now which works nicely at 70' but it's not
in the same league as a TH6.
73 - Gerry KA2MGE
Last cycle, I had an old TH7, which worked well. I'm far too lazy to
worry much, so I used a tuner a little and did fine, up to 1200W. It
even did OK on WARC, if I adjusted for the goofy pattern! I took it
down and put up an A-3, which is also good, but no WARC, of course. I
would NEVER do the work to model and tune 12 elements, so I see two
choices: Tune the TH6 wherever you want it to be best and play dumb
(comes naturally to me) on other frequencies. You'll likely do fine,
since no one can see 2dB anyway. OR get a T-10, which is what I'll do,
if I ever change (83 is late in a ham career.). Yes, it's $1500, but
it's also no brain work. And they are occasionally available used.
Enjoy, Wilson W4BOH _______________________________________________
