Except for the effect of transmission line loss, SWR does NOT change
depending on transmission line length. SWR is constant with line length. Only
impedance changes as a function of line length. It is true that changing the
line
length may offer an impedance at the transmitter end that is easier for your
tuner to match. But, the SWR will be the same except for line loss.
