Dear Carl:
It's not really 100% true that Will-Burt/First Call is not supporting the old
Tri-Ex tower line. What is actually happening is that Will-Burt changed the
tower design, 'beefed it up', made it stronger, etc., but by doing this the
old bases are not the same size as the ones now being manufactured. However,
a new line of bases will be introduced at the Dayton Hamvention to
accommodate or support the older Tri-Ex towers. Other than the base change,
EVERYTHING is 100% supported and better than before.
On a separate subject, production is moving along well and was a little slow
in starting due to the size of the Will-Burt Company and their "no
compromise" way of manufacturing towers especially under ISO 9001 regulations.
