Ron, that is So true!!!

Antenna modeling programs show that the G5RV is next to useless when erected  
as a vee.  

Like I said in my previous post, my "tests" where very unscientific, just 
switching between ant A & B, both on rx & tx.  At no time did the G5RV beat the 
1/2 wave 80, but, having said that, at no time did the 1/2 wave 80 beat the G5. 
Again, not really much to go on but the other stations' ears  & eye on the S 
meter.

As with any other antenna, so much has to do with the site, the installation &
 everything else. Maybe mine is up over a super-conductive back yard! ;-)
