The easiest thing to do, for not big heavy beams is to suspend the the rope
berween two large pulleys, one mounted at the top, one at the bottom, sorta
like a flag pole.
Use large pulleys for more separation and stabiltiy between the ropes. Then I
would take two pieces of tubing (plastic) one riding on the back rope, one
attached to the front rope and use it to mount the antenna or whatever on it
and ride up and down. Both tubing pieces connected, together riding up and down
and guided by both ropes. Rope "brake" and tensioning turnbuckle would be nice
accessories.
