I use THHN for the motor wires and a two wire cable for the reed switch.
Depending on your controller you may benefit from shielded sensor cable.
Green Heron works fine without this. I would calculate voltage drop to be
sure that 12 ga is adequate for the motor. You can buy cables with two
conductors in various wire gauges from places like Mouser, Allied, etc. I
may even have a partial spool of 18ga if you're interested.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Source for 3x12 / 2 x 18 Rotor Cable

I have a prop pitch coming my way which will require 3 x 12g for the motor
and 2 x 18 for the pulse signal. The run from the shack to the tower will
be 200' or a bit less.
The current plan is to use a 2x12, 6x16 rotor cable by combining 4 of the
16g for the 3rd 12g leg and the remaining 2 16g lines for the pulse
signal. Or use 3x12g outdoor house wiring with some sort of 2x18g or 2x16g
for the pulse switch.
Both solutions above would work just fine. It would be nice, however, if I
could find a cable that has 3x12g / 2x18g.
If anyone knows of a source for 3x12g / 2x18g please let me know.
Thanks
Rich - N5ZC
