I would also strongly consider using N connectors. UHF connectors for
heliax were pretty expensive everywhere I looked plus N has the
advantage of being water resistant. That's not to say one shouldn't
weatherproof their connectors otherwise.

N Connectors can be had pretty cheap (relatively speaking since Andrew
connectors are expensive anyhow).
