Rus, I deliberately set the elements on my 40-2CD so that the minimum
SWR was established at 7075 kHz. At 140', it gives very creditable
performance across the band: to wit - the report from the Czech Republic
Headquarters station during the IARU contest this last weekend that my
signal on 40 SSB was 40-over-9!!.... and that from the DX blackhole of
west TN. I've also received signal reports of 25-over-9 from Australia
and South Africa. I believe the 40-2CD is a very fine 40 meter beam.
I can't corroborate the reports as to poor performance on the SSB segment.
