This Sprint did prove successful, with no openings and rainy skies to attenuate
the signals. As VA3XRR did not arrive, I ran the Rovermobile from 2 grids
within 15 miles of home. It takes less than 5 minutes to qrt, pack move and be
back on the air between these sites as a few discovered to their advantage
(and to mine).
Grids were FN04ma and FN03mx.
Got a total of 31 qso's and 12 multi's for a score of 372. Best dx south was
W3SO and K3TUF. Heard W8MD cw but he qsy'd before I could get his attention.
N2PA and the Rochester group were out too. Others heard were too weak to get a
qso. Captured some local newbies to 6 meters too, which was a surprise to all
as I have never heard them on 6 before.
Thanks to all participants, including those not worked. Next time!!!
73,
Bill VE3CRU/r
