Im in the same boat with my HTX-10 - so I used an omron relay to recombine the
TX/RX and have this keyed with the +8v out of the HTX (if that mod was done for
keying voltage) - minor inconvenience and when I decide to use the IF to feed a
different configuration (split) - its ready.

Hello Dan!
Since your previous transverter has separate RX and TX, why don't you just
modify the new transverter for split RX and TX IF? That system is probably
easier to interface and you don't run the risk of blasting the RX path with
TX power. The transverter probably just has a relay that switches the
shared IF connection back and forth between the RX and TX paths. Put
connectors directly on the RX IF and TX IF points beyond that IF relay (
making sure to get the TX level correct of course ).

Subject: [VHFcontesting] HTX10 mod for transverter
Hello group,
I have a bit of a problem. I have an HTX10 that I modified for transverter
use quite awhile ago. The transverter I was using at the time used a split
TX and RX line. Now, I just bought a transverter that uses a common TX/RX
line...
So, I need to re-combine the TX/RX line. You can find the mod I used here:
http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~timc/e/htx-10.html
I'm pretty good with a soldering iron and basic electronics, but I'm not an
RF engineer. Would anyone care to tell me what I need to do to fix this?
I'm assuming it will take more than just rerouting the tx line to the common
connector...
Thanks helping me dispel a bit of my ignorance :-)
