I also have a ford but a Mustang, My problem was resovled by taking several
steps
1. put filter on gas pump(FORD installs that)
2. use MAGNACOR spark plug wires
3. resistor type spark plugs.
4. good ground on both antenna and radio
That fixed it almost 100 percent.
