All,
After much fiddling, I've got the beginnings of my 220 beacon together, and I
figured what better time to test than the 222-Tuesday before the VHF contest,
while everyone's out testing their 220 equipment (you are testing your 220
equipment, right?!). There's still work to be done, but the critical bits are
there.
Would very much appreciate any signal reports (or QRM reports!). Stats are:
Nominally 222.058 MHz (crystal controlled for now)
10 watts to a squalo 10' AGL
Located in EN82hk
It will only be on the air for an hour, while I run some measurements and make
sure it's all working and won't burst into flames, etc. If it goes well,
hopefully I will have it up more permanently in a couple weeks once I fix up a
good enclosure.
By the way, thanks to N9HF and WA8TTM for providing the previously-loved
building blocks.
(And I hope you're all enjoying the nice opening on 6 tonight!)
