Hi GB Ron
Well I finished repair of the rear end of the 222 MHz yagi. Ittook until
about 10 PM.Now I have to climb the 100 ft tower and stick it back
together. The hard part will be drilling two holes that will secure the
two sections together and also connect up the support truss to the boom
there. I sure hope it goes together without any problems. //It sounds
like you did well as usual. The QSO totals have been a bit lower than in
the Summer months, but I still say that activity is good. I sure hope
that I get things back together ASAP, so I can continue to rattle
N1YCQ's cage to improve his receiver!! His signal peaked about the same
as WA3EOQ who had 85 watts in the shack, but Howard has almost no
feedline loss on 222.Wheat has 2 dB more loss, so it works out about the
same on TX. The 2 dB on receive is a killer.
Thanks for the report and sorry that I missed the fun!
