Thanks Bryan for the comments, and there have been times I haven't sent in a
log for some of the reasons you mention, ie. bad prop, too much hassle
transfering a "note pad" log to Cabrillo format, low score, etc.

Another reason logs may not be submitted by "casual" operators is that some
operate the VHF contest and "play radio with the computer on." They have the
"DX Summit," "50 MHz Prop. Logger," "Ping Jockey," or K1MIA's DX site
running on their computer while operating the contest. For them, it is more
fun to operate the contest this way and be able to see and spot stuff, and
chat back and forth on the Internet. There is not a "single op assisted"
entry category in the June VHF QSO Party. So no reason for them to send in a
log.
