I'm surprised with all the discussion about Digital vs Analog and passing stations from one band to another (in the long-gone good old days), no one has mentioned that the latest version of WSJT-X Improved (by Uwe, DG2YCB) has a "QSY Message Creator" that is intended to facilitate exactly this passing feature.

Despite the almost-boastful name of this variant of WSJT-X, this is NOT a hostile fork. In fact, Uwe, is on the K1JT development team.  His version has many useful features, including an improved GUI with much smoother operation.  I have used the "improved" version for a couple of months, and I like it very much.  I'm looking forward to trying the new "QSY Message Creator" capability for the first time in the upcoming January VHF contest.

Take a look at https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsjt-x-improved/. ; I think you will find it very useful.  Be sure you get the very latest RC8 version.

73, Walt, AJ6T
