I believe I have found a way to set-up Writelog for this contest that will
score the QSO points and multipliers correctly.
1. Start Writelog as you would normally for a RTTY contest, i.e. have it
open the RTTY rite window(s) upon startup.
2. Start a new log.
3. When the select contest window appears select North American Sprint.
Select CW as the mode. (mode selected should not matter as all band info
will be cleared and reset in step 6.)
4. Select Parameter Setup under the Contest menu and enter your name and
state.
5. Under Bands select Setup Bands.
6. Clear All Bands.
7. Enter new band information: 3500-4000, FSK as the mode and title as 80M,
Add this band
7000-7300, FSK as the mode
and title as 40M, Add this band
14000-14300, FSK as the mode
and title as 20 M, Add this band
Hit the X, Writelog will show
you the new band information, make sure it matches the above.
8. For those of you with rig control Under Bands select LSB is really FSK,
any frequency read by the computer that falls within the freqs listed above
will set your logging mode to FSK.
9. If you do not have rig control you must set the band you are on manually
by left clicking on the frequency button in the QSO entry box , select FSK
as the mode and the 3500, 7000, or 14000 band in the Freq select box, click
OK. You must do this for every band change on an uncontrolled radio.
You must have FSK selected in order to control your TNC.
I am using a combination of the above as I have one radio under computer
control and the other is not.
10. Save the log.
At this point I logged a simulated QSO on each band and it appears to work
OK.
You should be ready to go at this point with Writelog tracking the mults and
score correctly.
Hope this helps, see ya tommorow.
