Never mind. I knew when I hit the appropriate frustration level to request
help, I was close to figuring it out. 😊
I had the box checked to set the rig to USB. The K3 wanted me to be in Data
mode A. Once I unchecked the box, things started happening. Just as the test
session ended.

FT4 certainly speeds up the QSO process!
