The PK-232 is an outstanding piece of hardware. It works and works. Now
mine is setting in it box as MMTTY has taken it place, but the PK-232 has
made 1000's and 1000's of rtty qso for me.
If you decide to use the PK-232 there are two modifications that really help
it performance.
1. There is a simple resistor mod to sharpen the input filters. The input
filters are wide so to pass the 300 baud packet. But HF Packet is dead, so
narrow down the filters!
2. The PK-232 out of the box is setup for 200hz shift, again for HF packet,
a simple re-alignment to 170hz shift will put you right on freq with
everyone else.
How do you do this?? Glad you asked. I have a very complete article with
digital photos of just how to do all the above. Trust me!! Visit my website
