Hmmmm,
As official log checker for ARRL RTTY RU and CQWW WPX RTTY, I would
become very suspicious of a log which indicated a lot of serial
numbers that were the same. Also, see extracts from both contest's
rules below.
2001 CQWW RTTY WPX:
VI. Exchange: RS(T) report plus a progressive contact three-digit
serial number starting with 001 for the first contact. (Continue to
four digits if past 999.)
ARRL RTTY Roundup:
4. Exchange:
4.1. United States: Signal report and State.
4.2. Canada: Signal report and Province.
4.3. DX: Signal report and serial number, starting with 001.
"Progressive" and "starting" are the key words.
