It may be more beneficial to use the COM port you have the DSP-232 connected
to for direct CW keying instead of using the TNC to generate CW.
I used to use my PK-232 for CW keying but it was never right. It would work for
a while, then quit and I would have to turn it off then back on for it to work
again.
Others have reported the same problem.
You can build a very simple CW keying interface to key CW from a COM port.
You can find an example at http://www.aa5au.com/rttyinterface.html that also
shows
an FSK and PTT circuit if you are interested.
