Hi Don,
That simple transistor interface offers zero ground loop
isolation between the PC and the rig. I used a dual
optoisolator IC to provide isolation before switching to
a fancy Rigblaster Pro (which uses optoisolators).
Then, I added a WinKeyer to get away from the
corrupted Morse problem.
Now that I'm having problems with the DVK function and not
finding a cure, I've decided to go with a simple homebrew
passive AF line-level mixer interface using better
transformers than are used in the RB interface.
