If you have a CW keyer output ( rts or dts) on your USB /serial convertor
you can use the switching on the cw key output to operate fsk on your
Kenwood. I do this with my Icon IC-746 and it works a treat both with my
laptop ( Toshiba Sat Pro 4600 ) and My tower ( H/B)

Subject: [WriteLog] USB to Serial adaptor
Good afternoon,
I'm trying to get RTTY running on my PC (of course using WriteLog) and MMTTY
and am having a problem getting a USB to Serial adaptor to drive FSK on my
Kenwood TS940. I looked in the WriteLog archives and have found a few email
strings suggesting that there may be an issue with the adaptor, but most of
these were using laptops (mine is a tower).
The operating system is XP.
If anyone else has run into this challenge and has a suggestion, I would
like to hear from you. Thanks.
Best regards,
Bob, N3FR
