I recently decided that I might to try to move my contesting software from DOS
to Windows, and have purchased a copy of Writelog.
That was the easy part. Now this old geezer is trying to learn to use it.
Up until now, my contesting has been on CT (DOS) so I'm happy to see a lot of
the user interface supports my old CT habits.
One of the things I can't figure out how to do is keep port settings, etc.,
from session to session in the same contest. For example, I set the program up
for a mock session of ARRL November Sweepstakes CW. I will be using a microHAM
CW Keyer which runs off a USB port which actually emulated two RS232 serial
ports, one for the embedded K1EL WinKeyer and the other for Icom rig control.
When I set these ports up under the "Setup" menu in WriteLog they work as
expected, but if I exit the program and reenter loading the same log, the port
settings do not persist from the previous session and must be setup again.
What am I missing here..... the help files haven't revealed the method to make
these settings "sticky" between sessions.
Thanks for any help,
de Hans, K0HB
