John:
I use VMWare Fusion on a Mac and it works pretty well. My machine is a
Mac Pro running Tiger with dual duo-core processors at 3.0 GHZ and 4GB
of RAM. I loaded XP Pro for the virtual machine. However, this is not my
radio computer--I still have an XP machine--so I cannot speak for
Writelog, but everything else I have tried runs well. The one caveat I
have encountered so far is that backing up with the virtual machine
active may or may not cause problems. It may be a good idea to suspend
the virtual machine before backup.
Fusion is inexpensive--buy it and try it. It runs very fast on my very
fast Mac.
