I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you contesters a Merry
Christmas & a Happy New Year. Or, if you prefer, Happy Holidays.
I am in the process of putting up a new Rohn 25G tower to replace my Tristao
Crankup/tilt-over that came down in a 90 MPH Chinook Wind that came out of
the mountains here in Colorado Springs. It destroyed the tower and my TH5DX
tri-bander. My Ham V rotor was not damaged. Fortunately my ARRL insurance
kicked in and they have sent me a check to cover the replacement costs. The
replacement antenna will be a Cushcraft A3S and that will be mounted on a
Hazer 2. The tower will only be 30' tall but that's as high as I can go in
my retirement community. I'm lucky they allow that.
I won't be ready in time for the RTTY RU, so listen for my puny signal using
a Butternut HF-9V antenna. I hope to have things completed in time for the
WW WPX RTTY in mid February.

of you in the upcoming contests again in 2011.
