I keep autosave set to 300 and the autosave alert set to 301.  That way you
should never see an alert.  If you do, something has gone wrong.  WL saves
every single QSO since the last manual save or autosave in the _bak file, so
your are saving every QSO anyway.  With over 100,000 Qs on WL, through power
and network drops, etc. I have never lost a QSO.
