Paul,
Never heard of this one, but since both WL and DXB are exhibiting the same
behavior I doubt if either program is to blame. I smell a rat in the
Windows wood pile somewhere. Do you have user accounts set up in XP? It
sounds like some sort of file permission issue and Windows is not letting
the programs update their ini files, but will allow you to edit them
directly. This sounds like something Vista would do, but can't imagine why
XP would behave like this. Wish I could offer more advice, but afraid I
can't at this point. Good luck.
